Explanation: A connection between mankind, architecture and cubism in
one single combination. As I am an artist of Rotterdam, the cubic houses being a
place of interest, were inspirational for this sculpture. The perception of this
form changes with every shift in stance because of the two different sized
cut-away sections. Playing with form is the foundation of this creation and was
critical to all the abstract sculptures I made after this. I would really like to see
this sculpture in a larger size, placed on a location in the open air.

Title: "Triangular Relationship" (Demonstrational model)

Explanation: Playing with line and form is part of my creative process,
so I used the first basic cubic form to elaborate and created another sculpture.
By combining several of the cubic in a non logical joining, they visualize the
unbalance in human triangular relations, while keeping the architectural
balance. By cutting into the points of one of the cut-away sections of both
cubic, they each gain 3 triangular surfaces. Joining these surfaces, I created
a triangular relationship in coexistence with a cubic form. Every triangular
human relationship is logically out of balance, this work therefore gives the
onlooker the feeling that the sculpture may tip over at any moment.
I would really like to see this sculpture in a larger size, placed on a location
in the open air.

Explanation: Again using the basic cubic "Ego" I built in
balance onto this form until slowly the sculpture of Character came into being. I
already visualize this nearly floating sculpture, surrounded and reinforced by
water, as a sculpture or building.
