Explanation: Feast of the sardines takes place in Spain and is a
symbolic ritual of burying the old to create space for the new. Symbol for the
old are dried sardines, sometimes adorned with paper skirts. These sardines are
carried in a parade, consequently to be buried at the end. Of course there
follows a feast and music after the burial.
